Hi, I'm Taylor. I'm in the US and my boyfriend is currently in the Netherlands. We have been together 7 months so far and it's definitely been an interesting ride!

Not sure there's really a ton of "experiences" at this point to be honest with you. We have yet to meet in person and due to some family and money issues, we doubt that'll be possible until I graduate from college in May of 2016. The plan after that is for me to continue my education in Amsterdam to be with him (doesn't hurt that my job chances are better in Europe too, lol). It has been interesting for sure, trying to balance a workload, school, and a relationship with a 7 hour time difference. Really, what has helped us a lot is that we are in constant contact. We use Kik to keep in touch so we don't rack up texting bills and we Skype as much as possible. We figured out that when I would go to bed is when we would have the most issues so we work it out that he goes to sleep a little bit earlier so he can wake up at 10 pm my time to Skype and talk. It's really what has helped keep us going so far!
